GREENCITYBUILDINGCOMPANY is the architect, developer, and contractor for this san gabriel valley retail building, east of los angeles, for an established plumbing and electrical supply store.
although a very simple one story retail building on flat lot with significant cost constraints required to remain feasible, the modern building is carefully detailed with a mix of smooth finish plaster walls, smooth and split-face CMU walls, and key custom storefront glass sections with steel details. the project also incorporates sustainable elements including construction waste recycling, runoff water retention systems, drought-tolerant planting on ‘smart’ drip irrigation systems, a white TPO ‘cool’ roof, and parking area permeable surfaces.
