GREENCITYBUILDINGCOMPANY is the architect for laurel canyon, a four house small lot subdivision in the valley village neighborhood of los angeles. 

a modern infill development, the project was required to comply with both underlying zoning and the applicable area specific plan, requiring dual-track entitlements.  although an extremely tight fit on the lot, the project remains a traditional development with straightforward construction.   like all GCBC projects it employs extensive sustainable elements and features including high performance envelopes, renewable and low/no VOC finishes, passive solar orientation, on site water retention and filtration, water efficient landscaping, and a pedestrian focus.
