GREENCITYBUILDINGCOMPANY is the architect for eagle vista, a six house small lot subdivision in the eagle rock neighborhood of los angeles.
a modern infill development, the project bridges the commercial thoroughfare and associated apartments with the adjacent single family neighborhood. although significantly constrained by a private street easement, the project remains a traditional development with straightforward construction means and methods including slab on grade foundations and wood structural systems with limited steel. the project employs extensive sustainable elements and features including high performance envelopes, renewable and low/no VOC finishes, passive solar orientation, on site water retention and filtration, water efficient landscaping, and a pedestrian focus.
