GREENCITYBUILDINGCOMPANY is the architect for the bieveneda house, a new home in the pacific palisades neighborhood of los angeles.
the 4,400 square foot house is designed around an extremely steep site and responds to both the desires of the owner/occupant but also with consideration of future resale. reflecting its quiet, developed residential neighborhood the house is deferential yet thoroughly modern and site specific, with program designed to embrace the site advantages (views, large lot, pool) and address disadvantages (slope, wide street). as with all GCBC projects the house incorporates numerous sustainable features, including low-e dual-pane fenestration, multi-zone HVAC systems, tankless water heaters, solar orientation and fenestration designed to maximize passive heating and cooling, and native/water efficient landscaping on zoned drip irrigation systems.
